Born in 1976, in East Java, Indonesia, Anas studied at The Indonesian Fine Art College in Surabaya, Java, between 1991 – 1995. Upon graduation, he worked as a stained glass designer in Surabaya. In 1998 Anas relocated to Bali, and started Kaleboe, a group studio in the then small village of Ubud, which is now known as Bali's international traditional and contemporary center of art.

During his time in Bali, Anas' work was inspired by the essence of Balinese culture and its amazing natural environment, and also by the fact that Ubud was a burgeoning international art hub. Since first arriving in Bali, Anas has participated in several Indonesian-based group exhibitions as well as being selected to represent Indonesian contemporary artists in several international events in the Netherlands and Malaysia.

In 2009 Anas, his childhood friend Djunaidi Kenyut, and two enthusiastic Balinese architects built BLEDOG Art Space with the intention to give local and international artists from Ubud's growing community a chance to exhibit cutting edge, non-commercially based artwork. As a result, BLEDOG has been reviewed in such notable newspapers as the Jakarta Globe, and Journal Bali.

In 2012 Anas temporarily relocated to Riverside, California, where he currently lives and continues to create his surrealistic art works, adapting to his new environment while building a new perspective in his artistic life.
